To achieve this great room transformation we took down the wall between the original small kitchen and the laundry room; keeping the back door entrance and the wall separating the kitchen and the dining/living area. The end result was this large open space perfect for entertaining. A new stacking washer and dryer is concealed behind a custom pantry unit to the right of the fridge. The kitchen cabinetry is maple stained a rich cherry colour while the island, which houses a secondary sink for entertaining, is a contrasting espresso. Both these colours are accented in the quartz countertops, and is continued up the backsplash. This kitchen has a unified look which elicits a Wow! from everyone who views it.
