Kitchen 8 Specifications:

The original kitchen space was truly non-functional with major conflicts between cabinetry and appliances. There were two walls creating a boxed in feeling to the space and restricting the water view. The new design features the fixed appliances at the rear wall and a granite island eating bar cantilevered over hand carved corbels. Corian, with two individual integral sinks, was used on the workspace counters. The diagonal lay of the tumbled marble backsplash compliments the natural stone fireplace visible through the sandblasted mountain scene that was designed for the tempered glass panels. The solid maple, raised panel cabinet doors were designed for both the Sub Zero refrigerator and the Asko dishwasher. The integrated valance has halogen potlights built in providing a unique answer to the challenge of lighting in a post and beam design with 20-foot ceilings.
