XL Kitchen and Bath employs the best trades for the project to ensure a professional renovation for our clients. All trades are licensed professionals; we do not employ”handymen”.

Do I need a permit?

Not if you are replacing an existing kitchen or bathroom.

Can I remove a wall?

Yes, we can do this as part of your renovation but we will look at it to determine if it is load-bearing and the costs associated with addressing that.

Do you charge for your services?

We will provide without charge, a preliminary design concept and budget for your approval at no cost.

What should I look for in comparing cabinets?

  • Solid backs in the cabinets, not just hanging bars
  • Blum click off hinges
  • ¾’ thick shelves
  • Boxes that are clamped in a glue press to ensure that they are square
  • Drawers have ½’ thick bottoms
  • The cabinets have a 10-year warranty

    Is replacing my kitchen and bathroom a good investment?

    Many Realtors will tell you that the kitchen and the bathroom are the most important rooms in the house from a resale point of view. We believe that the quality of our projects adds value to your home and that you should be able to recover your investment when you sell your home. In the meantime, you will get the enjoyment of it!

    Should I just replace the cabinet doors?

    Cabinet doors are the most expensive part of a cabinet – approximately 70% of the cost. Often the onsite refinishing costs make replacement door just not an economic reality. In addition, a kitchen with replaced doors is not the best investment as it does not add to the resale value of a home like a new kitchen will.
